Zikalala: KZN has seen 'constant stream of donations' since floods
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Premier Sihle Zikalala says KwaZulu-Natal has been on the receiving end of a constant stream of donations in response to the devastating floods.
"This includes the Motsepe Foundation, Avbob, Gift of the Givers, Absa, River's Church, Hillgrove Hindu Temple, Revival Mission Centre, the Catholics, the Salvation Army, The Covenant Fellowship Church International, the Ntenga Foundation, among others."
Zikalala tabled his departmental budgets in the KZN Legislature on Thursday morning.
He says the province is still nursing its wounds after last month's tragic losses.

Over 400 people were killed, 63 others are still missing and more than 600 schools were affected.
The premier said the Ramaphosa Foundation has donated R1 million to the Solidarity Fund to assist KZN.
Meanwhile, each department will paint a clear picture of the magnitude of the disaster and the resources needed to deal with the aftermath of the floods, the July unrest, and the Covid-19 crisis.
