Newly elected regional secretary Thulisa Ndlela says Youth Day should be a day young people should use to reflect on the heroism the then school children displayed and inspire them to press on and fight for their future.

He says there must be an improvement in the inclusion of young people in the mainstream economy so young people can get jobs.

"The courage that the youth of '76 says that they're challenges with must give us hope and must inspire us, the youth of 2022 who are violently opposed, we are at the receiving end of a violent economic system that breeds jobless growth and even when BEE numbers increase unemployment number increase.
