Youngsters arrive in numbers ahead of Matric Rage
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Thousands of teenagers have arrived in KwaZulu-Natal ahead of Rage 2018.
The end-of-year festival will officially launch tomorrow and continue into next week.
Matrics from around the country make their way to KwaZulu-Natal and enter party mode after completing their final school exams.
Organisers, G&G Productions say they've sold more than 10 000 passports for this year's event, although numbers are expected to increase with the sale of day-passes.
Concerts, raves and pool parties will be held twice a day at different venues between uMhlanga and Ballito. Both international and local artists are scheduled to perform at the various parties.
The company's Marina Oreb says they've kicked it up a notch for this year's rage-goers.
"Every year is special because it's a first-time experience for so many. We were asked for more daily activities so we're doing beach parties this year. We've introduced a new venue called the Sandton Super Club.
"It's close to Sibaya Casino and it's basically a mega venue that we're building for Rages with muliple levels. We have the Samsung Rage Cave and we have the Redsquare Basin and we have the Beat Burrow," he said.
