'Young mothers need be educated about child abandonment'
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A Glenwood-based safe home for abandoned babies says more education is needed so that people who're unable to care for their little ones know that there are alternatives.

The safe home, Holah, has been speaking to Newswatch after another newborn baby yesterday was found abandoned in a building in central Durban.
The baby was found wrapped in plastic bags left in a toilet bin.
This brings to three the number of unwanted babies left by their mothers in public places, in recent months.
Leaan Lorrance feels these lessons can be taught at school level so that young mothers know what to do should they find themselves in this situation.
Lorrance says most of these women don't know what to do.
