Updated | By Nomfundo Ngcobo
A northern KwaZulu-Natal poultry farmer says she's devastated by a horrific attack on her animals.

Snenhlanhla Ngubane says 174 of her chickens were stabbed and six stolen from her Manguzi farm this past weekend.
The 22-year-old started her business in 2017.

She says she hasn't opened a case because she doesn't think it will help.
"I am still in shock and the community is also in shock.
"When I woke up to check on the chickens, I found all of them dead and they left me with only 10 live chicken which were left with stab wounds.
"I suspect this happened during the early hours of the morning," says Ngubane.
Ngubane says she'll start raising chickens from scratch.
Some South Africans have offered to help her start afresh.
