Young girl dies in Verulam house fire

A 4-year-old girl was killed, while two other children suffered burn injuries before they were rescued from the Jacaranda Avenue property.

Initial reports from the scene are that the children's mother dropped them off at their grandmother's home on Saturday night.

Concerned neighbours who saw smoke coming from the house called local security company, Reaction Unit SA to assist.  

The group's Prem Balram says they immediately began searching the property.

He says the 11 and 7-year-old boys were treated for burns to their hands and legs.
