Wyebank murders: Men need to speak out
Updated | By Steve Bhengu
Men need to learn to speak out if they have problems.
That is the sentiment shared by one woman who watched proceedings unfold at the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court yesterday where a Wyebank man appeared on connection with the death of four children. Sibusiso Mpungose is accused of murdering his three children and step-daughter on Tuesday.
He was arrested in KwaDabeka a day later. It is understood Mpungose and his wife, Xoli are going through a divorce.
The woman who spoke to Newswatch believes if Mpungose sought help the children might still be alive today.
"Men must not keep things bottled up inside, but they speak out because what this man has done does not, at all, represent what other men in South Africa are like," she said.
"So if men have anything worrying them they must vocalise so they can be helped and not keep it to themselves," she said.
