Wreck of Titanic sub found following 'catastrophic' implosion
Updated | By Newswatch
The US Coastguard has confirmed what happened to the submersible missing
since Father's Day when it descended on a trip to the Titanic.
"With experts from the unified command that debris is consistent with a catastrophic loss of the pressure chamber," Rear Admiral John Mauger announced on the fourth day of the search.
He also offered his "deepest condolences" to the families of the five men on board Titan.
A robot working at the bottom of the Atlantic Ocean found five different pieces of the sub.

The tail cone was found almost 500 meters from the front of the Titanic wreckage.
Mauger cannot say whether any victims will be recovered.
"I know there is a lot of question of why, how and when this happened and the members of the unified command have those questions too and that's going to be, I'm sure, the focus of future review."
