Would-be shopping mall robbers to appear in Pinetown court
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Four men accused of breaking into a shopping centre in Pinetown, armed with guns and explosives, are due to line up in court.

Police responded to a robbery in progress on St John's Avenue on Sunday night, and nabbed the men, who were trying to run away.
Spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says cell phones, drills, gloves and crowbars were taken from them.
“As police were busy on the scene, they observed a white vehicle driving in the vicinity. When police officers approached the vehicle the suspects sped off.
“Police gave chase and the suspects abandoned the vehicle. When searching the vehicle, police found various pieces of police uniform, a bulletproof vest and a firearm with 16 round of ammunition.
“The suspects are expected to appear in the Pinetown Magistrate’s Court.”
A security guard on duty said the armed gang was dressed as police officers.
He was robbed of his panic button and taken in the vehicle to New Germany, where he was dumped in a bush.
