Worry over increase in political attacks in KZN
Updated | By Anelisa Kubheka
Community Safety MEC in the province, Mxolisi Kaunda says the increase in the murders of government and political party officials in KZN is concerning.

On Sunday, two IFP leaders were shot and killed in uMhlathuze while a third was stabbed and killed later on the same day.
Department spokesperson, Sipho Khumalo, says these are elected community leaders and the increase in their murders seeks to undermine democracy.
Meanwhile, the SACP in the province has asked to meet with Premier Willies Mchunu as well as Kaunda to discuss the recent murders in Inchanga.
Last week, two brothers of a former ANC councillor in the area were shot and killed while later on the same day - an SACP female activist, Nonhlanhla Mkhize, was found dead with a gunshot wound.
Subsequent to Mkhize's murder two more SACP members were killed.
