Workers strike won't affect power supply: Eskom
Updated | By Jarryd Subroyen
Eskom says power supply will not be affected by tomorrow's one-day strike by workers.

Employees belonging to NUM and NUMSA are demanding a 15 percent salary hike.
They will hold a picket outside the utility's HQ in Johannesburg tomorrow.
Eskom's Khulu Phasiwe says they are aware of messages being shared on social media and WhatsApp warning people there will be a total shutdown of electricity in the country. He says these are false.
"We have noted some of the messages suggesting that there is going to be a blackout - planned by the unions. We have also activated our emergency plan to ensure that we keep the lights on. South Africa shouldn't be worried about the potential of having load shedding any time soon," Phasiwe said.
