Durban boy killed after goalpost collapses
An 8-year-old boy has lost his life after a goalpost fell on him at a sports club in Durban North.
According to Netcare 911's Shawn Herbst - the little boy had been playing a soccer game when the post landed on his head.
"An 8-year-old male was playing soccer when the goal post fell over, crushing him. Advanced Life Support resuscitation was initiated however his injuries were too severe and was declared 'deceased' on scene.
"Circumstances of the event will be investigated by the Durban North SAPS," Herbst said.
