Woman’s body found along Verulam railway line

Police say there are still no arrests after the body of a woman was discovered in Durban.

The body was found on Sunday by a passerby along a railway line on Garland Street in Verulam.
The woman is believed to have been strangled.

"She suffered blunt force trauma to the head and visible strangulation marks were found around her neck. She was declared deceased a short while later," says Reaction Unit South Africa's Prem Balram.
A murder investigation has been launched.
