Woman struck by taxi, killed in Ladysmith
A woman has died after being hit by a taxi along the R103, just outside Ladysmith.
It's not clear what the woman was doing on the road just moments before the accident. When
ER24 medics arrived they found her lying on the road with the taxi having stopped a short distance from the point of impact.
They found she was in a critical condition and stabilized her before rushing her to hospital. However upon arrival her vitals deteriorated rapidly and succumbed to her injuries.
She was declare dead.
Local authorities were on the scene for further investigations.
