Woman shot several times outside Westville school

A woman had to be rushed to hospital after she was shot several times outside a school in Westville, west of Durban.
ALS paramedics spokesperson Garrith Jamieson says they were called to the primary school in Berea West on Monday afternoon.
"On arrival, paramedics found Durban metro police together with volunteer medics attending to an injured woman.
Advanced Life Support paramedics took over the treatment and found the woman, believed to be in her 60s, had sustained multiple gunshot wounds to her upper body.

She was in a critical condition and stabilised on the scene before she was rushed to hospital for the further assistance she required."
The events leading up to the shooting are unknown at this stage.
