Woman killed, several hurt in two KZN crashes
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
A woman has died after she and two others were hit by a car in Tongaat.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says the three were struck on the R102 near Frazer’s - with the car veering off the road and landing in veld.
"When we arrived there we found that a female, one of the pedestrians, tragically died there due to the severe injuries that she had sustained.
"Two other pedestrians as well as the driver sustained very serious injuries," he said.
In another accident in Durban, a taxi has rolled on the N3 near the Pavilion shopping centre - leaving more than a dozen people hurt.
Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson says it's not known what caused the vehicle's driver to lose control.
"A total of 14 people were found to have stained minor to moderate injuries. More ambulances were called to assist in transporting the injured to hospital," he said.
