Woman killed in KZN house collapse

The heavy rains in KZN have claimed a life. Police say a woman was killed in the early hours of this morning in a structural collapse at her home in Umlazi's V Section.
Spokesperson Nqobile Gwala says an inquest docket has been opened.
"It was raining yesterday and the walls collapsed around 15:30. A 32year old woman was declared dead at the scene and the circumstances surrounding the incident are still being investigated."
Many parts of KZN have had persistent downpours since the weekend.

In Durban, a combined total of 98 millilitres fell on Sunday and yesterday.
Forecaster at the South Africa Weather Service Wisani Maluleke says there should be some respite in the earlier part of tomorrow - with showers and thundershowers expected from the afternoon.
Maluleke says the rain is expected to calm again on Saturday, where we are expecting 30% chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon and also going into Sunday.
