Woman killed, 10 hurt in R102 crash
A woman has been killed in an accident on the R102 in Compensation near Ballito, north of Durban.
Reports from the scene indicate that a group of workers had been travelling on the back of a bakkie this morning, when the vehicle overturned as it approached a bend.
Netcare 911's Chris Botha says the bakkie landed on top of the woman.
"Tragically, after paramedics used the jaws of life to extricate her, it was found that she had died due to the very serious injuries that she sustained," he said.
