Woman critical after Umhlanga diving incident
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
A woman is in a critical condition in hospital after getting into trouble while diving off Umhlanga Rocks, north of Durban yesterday.

It is understood the 45-year-old Pretoria resident had been diving off the Granny's pool area, north of the lighthouse when she stopped breathing after surfacing from an 18m dive.
Emergency services say the woman needed medical attention after performing decompression stops.
Netcare911's Chris Botha says lifeguards had already pulled her from the water and started CPR by the time medics arrived at the beach.
He says medics continued working on her until her heart began beating again.
"Paramedics managed to get her heart to beat again and led to breath spontaneously. She was then transported through to a hospital in Umhlanga, where she is receiving care," he said.
