Woman, children hurt after vehicles overturn in separate KZN crashes

A woman has been treated for moderate injuries after the vehicle she was driving overturned after crashing through a fence in Durban while 13 people - including nine children - were hurt after a bakkie rolled on the N3 near Pietermaritzburg.
Paramedics say the 19-year-old lost control of her vehicle before it veered off Begonia Road before it rolled down an embankment, coming to a rest on its roof outside a Glen Hills home, north of Durban.
She was placed on a stretcher after being extricated from the vehicle and taken to a local hospital.
The cause of the accident is not yet known at this stage.
While in Pietermaritzburg, 13 people were hurt after the vehicle they were travelling in overturned on the N3 Northbound carriageway in Linfield Park.
ER24 paramedics say the passengers sustained minor to moderate injuries and were also taken to hospital for further treatment.
