Woman apprehended for drug dealing in PMB

A 61-year-old woman is expected to appear in the Pietermaritzburg Magistrate court on Thursday for charges of dealing in drugs.

The suspect was arrested on Wednesday night when Hawks members pounced on her following a tip-off of alleged drug dealing at the Sweetwaters taxi rank.
KZN Hawks' Simphiwe Mhlongo says the woman was found sitting in a car and was searched.

"She was found in possession of rock cocaine, to the street value of R150 000. Police also confiscated more than R30 000 in her possession which is suspected to from drug sale."
