Woman accused of killing and dumping her baby granted bail

A local woman - who allegedly killed her newborn baby - has been granted bail in a Durban Court.
The 24-year-old was arrested on Saturday after the infant's body was found inside a municipal bin along Candella Road.
The little boy had been strangled.
Police found evidence connecting the suspect to the baby at a block of flats nearby.

Natasha Kara, who's with the National Prosecuting Authority - says the woman made a brief appearance in the Durban Magistrate's Court yesterday.
"The accused appeared in the Durban magistrate court and was granted bail of R1000. The matter has been postponed to the 24th of March for further investigation," said Kara.
