Witnesses wanted after Comrades veteran dies in hit-and-run accident

KZN police are appealing for witnesses to an alleged hit-and-run incident that claimed the life of 18-time Comrades Marathon runner, Vusi Msibi to come forward.
Msibi was knocked over in Blackburn Road in Durban North last month but police are yet to open a case.
The 49-year-old gardener was left for dead after the suspect - believed to have been driving a municipal vehicle drove off.
"There was no one who came to report the accident at the police station until we saw that there was someone knocked by a vehicle. For now, we have a statement from the hospital. We haven't obtained a statement from witnesses," SAPS spokesperson, Thulani Zwane said.
