Big Mama words fail me. The reality of your loss still so hard to swallow, even after all this time. Your giant presence, strength&resilience has left a hole, but also a legacy in which to carry forward.

Today we remember Mama #WinnieMadikizelaMandela who travelled a very long road with Madiba & was a member of a generation of leaders who survived the most brutal period of state terror during apartheid. She was also a friend of the NMF. You will always be remembered Mangutyana pic.twitter.com/hqB4bTNv1e

Today marks a year since our nation lost one of its greatest patriots, but the mark she left will never be removed. What set uMama #WinnieMadikizelaMandela apart was the compassionate leader that she was, she stayed rooted among her people & led them until the very end pic.twitter.com/3AZ8YZzgYj
