Wife arrested after cop shot dead in Westville home
A 43-year-old police officer has been shot and killed - allegedly by his wife - at their Westville home. The incident apparently happened during a domestic dispute.
Police have confirmed a 42-year-old woman has been arrested following the incident at the house on Jupiter Road, in the early hours of this morning.

Police spokesperson Thembeka Mbhele says the officer was shot dead with his service pistol.
"A case of murder has been opened and a suspect has been arrested. The motive is related to domestic violence, but the police are still investigating. We are also like the community [when it comes to] applying for your private gun; we go through the same procedures as the community," she said.
