Why there should be more women leaders
Updated | By Portia Cele

Umlazi-born Dhlomo, who is the CEO of Ndalo Media, says women are fighting against beliefs that have traditionally put them in the backseat.
Speaking at a women's economic empowerment event at the Durban ICC yesterday, Dhlomo said a lot can be learned from women's style of leadership.
"If you look at the way we operate - we are a lot more democratic. It is often described as soft power. We talk much more. The financial and business consequence of that is that organisations and boards which have women have much more robust discussions, more questions being asked and that leads to much more powerful and smarter decisions," she said.
