Who funds SA's political parties?
Updated | By Troye Lund
Social Justice organisation My Vote Counts says South Africans deserve to know who funds political parties so that the relationship between money, politics and state tenders can be exposed.

The lobby group has made the call following recent reports about the Gupta family securing a 10-year contract to supply Eskom with coal.
The family has admitted to funding political parties and has been at the centre of several government tender scandals.
Spokesperson for My Vote Counts, Judith February, says that one now draws the inevitable conclusion that the close relationship between President Jacob Zuma and the Gupta family is influencing state procurement processes in a manner that undermines service delivery to the South African public.
February says South African voters have the right to know if the awarding of government tenders to Gupta family companies that have delivered sub-standard services is any way linked to the money they give the ANC.
