Wet weather wreaks havoc on KZN roads

The stormy weather's wreaking havoc across Durban this morning, with reports coming through of waterlogged roads and a car submerged in fast-flowing waters.
The vehicle plunged down an embankment and into a river, while the driver travelled towards Pinetown on the M19.
Advanced Life Support Paramedic, Garrith Jamieson says a search and rescue team came to help.

"Rescuers made their way down to the vehicle and found that a male believed to be in his 30's had sustained moderate injuries.
He was stabilised on scene by life support paramedics before he was transported through to a nearby hospital."
Jamieson says there was then a second crash there.
"The vehicle lost control and collided into a police vehicle. The paramedics are currently stabilising the policeman who has sustained serious injuries."
