Wet, cold weekend in store for KZN
Updated | By Nushera Soodyal
The South African Weather Service has warned KwaZulu-Natal residents to brace for heavy rains this weekend.
"The interest is more to the southern parts of KZN. Tomorrow [Saturday], we have 80 per cent coverage and in other places 60 per cent," says forecaster Sphesihle Dlamini.
"Going into Sunday, it is 80 per cent covering the whole province. It will mostly be continuous rain, and we are also looking to issue a warning for Sunday."

SAWS warned earlier on Friday about an intense low-pressure system that might develop along the country's west coast.
Dlamini says it will not affect KZN too much.
"People who are going to be driving should drive cautiously and follow road speed signs. Areas like Mooi River and those close to Lesotho are going to be a little colder."
