Westville shooting leaves one dead, one critical
One person has died while another has been seriously hurt following a shooting incident on Chesham Place in Westville, last night.
It is still not clear what led to the incident unfolding. According to Rescue Care's Garrith Jamieson they were called to the scene shortly after the shooting.
"On arrival paramedics found that unfortunately one person had died before their arrival. One other man had sustained serious injuries as well as a gunshot wound to his lower body," he said.
"Advanced Life Support paramedics worked on scene to stabilise him, before rushing him through to a nearby hospital for the further care that he required," Jamieson said.
"At this stage events leading up to the shooting are unknown, however Westville SAPS were on scene and will be investigating further," he said.
