Westville pupil in stable condition after electrocution

A 15-year-old boy who suffered an electric shock at school is in a stable condition.

Westville Boys' High School principal, Trevor Hall says they'll continue to monitor the child's progress.
The teenager sustained serious burns to his arms and chest after handling what paramedics described as some sort of transformer in his classroom.

ER24 arrived at the school to find the boy in a critical condition. Hall says he'd been handling a Visual Arts project during break when he was shocked.
Hall said yesterday that the Grade 10 pupil is communicating with his parents and teachers.
No other injuries were reported during the incident.
