Wentworth parcel not a bomb: Police

Police have confirmed that a suspicious parcel found in Wentworth, south of Durban was not an explosive device.
Officers were called to a supermarket in the area yesterday afternoon.

Video footage of an explosion at the centre has been circulating on social media.National police spokesperson, Vish Naidoo says a package was found and examined - but he insists it was not a bomb.
"We were called about a suspicious parcel, we responded and it was proven to be negative," he said.
Naidoo says police are concerned about the number of hoax calls in the city:
Meanwhile, police say their investigations into the discovery of a number of improvised devices in and around Durban are focused on the culprits and their motivation.
The first device was found in a Woolworths store at The Pavilion, following an early morning blaze on Thursday.
Hours later, a second device was discovered in Woolworths at Gateway.
A third device was found in Woolworths Gateway on Saturday morning.
Two more were then located under cars in the Musgrave and Morningside areas on Saturday night.
Naidoo says the Hawks are investigating.
