Weather warning of hail, severe thunderstorms over KZN on Wednesday
The South African Weather Service issued a level 2 weather warning for KZN's western and central interior parts on Wednesday.
Forecasters say we can expect severe thunderstorms accompanied by heavy downpours, strong winds, excessive lightning and hail.
"We are expecting 80 percent chance of showers and thundershowers later this afternoon over the interior," says Forecaster Ayanda Nsele.
"However, it will be mostly scattered 60 percent over the eastern parts.
"We have a yellow level two warning for severe thunderstorms that are expected over the KZN interior, mostly the western and the midlands parts for this afternoon.
"With those thunderstorms you can expect hail, damaging winds as well as heavy downpours."
