'We won't agree with Pravin Gordhan being arrested': EFF
The EFF's Floyd Shivambu says South Africa has been captured by white monopoly capital and the Gupta family who he says now want to arrest Finance Minister Pravin Gordhan so they can continue looting state funds.
He made the comments at a meeting with the party's eThekwini councillor candidates in Durban today.
"We will never defend Pravin Gordhan because he accounts for Stellenbosch. White monopoly capital has interest in him being the Minister of Finance.

"But we will not agree with him being arrested as well because of the intentions of the corrupt Gupta family. We cannot allow South Africa to be destabilised that easily," he said.
Yesterday, the Sunday Times reported about Gordhan's imminent arrest after the case docket on the so-called rogue unit at SARS was handed over to the NPA.
