'We don't want to hear a lot of talk' - KZN premier angry at port crisis
Updated | By Noxolo Miya
KZN Premier Nomusa Dube-Ncube has given
Transnet management a tongue-lashing over the huge congestion headaches at the
province's ports.

"You can't have things happening and nobody faces the music about the port congestion. Surely, somebody slept on the job there," she said.
Transnet reassured President Cyril Ramaphosa last week that it's working to resolve the container-ship gridlock in Durban and congestion in Richards Bay.
The state-owned entity recently suspended the movement of coal trucks into the north coast port after uMhlathuze took the matter to court.

In Durban, Transnet is hoping to clear the backlog of some 70,000 containers in 15 weeks.
The premier says management needs to be held accountable.
"There must be consequences so people can see, that when you are given a responsibility to lead and to be a manager, you must manage and deliver what is expected of your people. We want efficiency, we don't want to hear a lot of talk."
