We cannot rule out terror attacks: Gigaba
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba says South Africans can never be certain that there won't be any terror attacks in the country.
Gigaba's comments come after the US embassy issued a terror alert to its citizens in South Africa.
Government seems to have distanced itself from the skating statements issued by the Department of International Relations and Corporation along State Security after the US alerts.

Home Affairs Minister Malusi Gigaba believes South Africans need to be more cautious and aware of terrorism.
Gigaba says despite South Africa being in any conflict with any country this does not mean terror attacks cannot happen on home soil.
''I do not mean to sound overly ominous when I suggest that most countries probably feel the same way before they suffer terror attacks. Unfortunately terrorism, radicalisation and instability is still a reality in many places on our content and our world,''
Minister in the Presidency Jeff Radebe said yesterday that working relations between the US and South Africa are cordial, effectively distancing the government from the statements issued out by the Department of International Relations and Corporation.
