Water situation in Ntuzuma 'unbearable'
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
Residents in Ntuzuma's F section, who have been living without running water for almost a month, say life has become unbearable.

Taps ran dry after the Ntuzuma Pump Station 2, which services the area, stopped working when it was damaged in a fire recently.
A contractor still needs to be appointed for repairs to begin.
Resident Zanele Molefe says what makes the situation worse is that water tankers aren't coming to the area every day.

"Its hard living without water. The last time we were able to refill water from a tanker was on Thursday. As we speak we are sitting with empty buckets near the door ready for a tanker to pass by.
"We cannot do anything, the washing is piling up. We sometimes have to ask our neighbours who have vehicles to fill a few buckets for us when they go refill in neighbouring areas."
Ward 38 councillor Muzikayise Thusi acknowledges that the municipality needs to increase the number of tankers it sends out to communities that need water.
'We are only getting about to or three tankers at a time. Now it is a challenge because the demand is too much. We have been pleading with the municipality to give us more tankers, but we are still waiting."
