Water outages to continue for at least three weeks in some parts of Durban
Updated | By Newswatch
Water issues in some western and southern areas of Durban will only be resolved in three to four weeks according to the eThekwini Municipality.

On Friday, the municipality confirmed that there were ongoing interruptions in Shallcross, Harinager, parts of Chatsworth, Kllaarwater, Birch Road, St Wendolins Pumps, Washington Heights and Intake road reservoirs
The Municipality says it has encountered technical challenges with regards to the operations of it's Northdene 3 pump station.
It was discovered that all three available pumps at the station have failed, resulting in no water being pumped to all downstream reservoirs.
Repair work on the station has not started yet with the municipality busy working on procuring parts needed to fix the station.
Water tankers are currently being mobilised to supply water to all affected areas.
