WATCH: Viral 'reckless' truck driver filmed in KZN nabbed
Updated | By Lauren Beukes
Mpumalanga officials want a truck driver's licence to be revoked after he was filmed driving recklessly in KwaZulu-Natal.
The department's Moeti Mmusi says Community Safety MEC Vusi Shongwe wants the man's licence to be taken away.
"On this video the truck diver could been seen overtaking dangerously on all solid barriers lines."
Another motorist this past weekend took the video, which has been widely shared on social media.
It shows the truck swerving from one lane to another, as the driver dangerously overtakes several vehicles narrowly avoiding oncoming traffic on KZN's R34, but collides into a bakkie's trailer before continuing on the route.

Mmusi says the Mpumulanga driver's behaviour was extremely disturbing.
"The truck in question is severing a Mpumalanga registration plate. The MEC also added that these type of drivers do not need driving licences because they are a danger to other road users."
The man has since been arrested - Mmusi says they'll meet with the owner of the truck.
