WATCH: SA actor allegedly caught shoplifting
Former Muvhango actor Phila Mazibuko will not be spending Christmas in jail after he was reportedly caught shoplifting at a Shell garage in Johannesburg.
According to Sunday World, the KwaZulu-Natal born actor attempted to steal a box of candy, Nerds and a magazine worth R35 in Midrand.
The publication continues to say that the owner of the filling station has opted not to press charges against Phila because the issue is too small.
The 27-year-old played Thandaza's nephew, Spha on the soapie on SABC 2.
In the video, posted on YouTube by The Sowetan, Phila is seen being questioned by police officers about the matter.
Before he answers their questions, he requests that they stop recording him on camera.
