Some Transnet employees are picketing at the Port of Durban where President Cyril Ramaphosa is meeting with the entity's senior management.
The workers, affiliated to transport union SATAWU, say they don't want the parastatal to be privatised.
SATAWU Secretary-General, Jack Mazibuko says the union's leadership has been denied entry into the facility.

"The unions were never engaged through this process and that is why we are here to say the unions are not agreeing to that. In the entities where government has privatised, we have seen workers losing their jobs.
Satawu fears that should Transnet and government enter this process of privatisation, the likelihood is workers will lose their jobs."
