WATCH: Sardines made unexpected return to Durban
Updated | By Gcinokuhle Malinga
There was a hive of activity at Durban's uShaka Pier on Tuesday, as sardines made another unexpected appearance.

Local fishermen were able to fill about 100 crates with the silver fish that normally show up in the winter months.
Craig Thompson from the KZN Sharks Board says this is the third time sardines were netted on the Durban shore.
"It is not uncommon at all and in the years gone past, this is something that does happen from time-to-time."
"Once again it just proves how unpredictable these fish are. There's a good chance that they may carry on netting today and tomorrow, and there's a very good chance that they might disappear altogether," he said.
