WATCH: Sadtu marches in Durban to air grievances

Thousands of teachers who were protesting several issues marched to Durban City Hall on Friday.
Teachers have come from across the province to join the march and demand that KZN Education address the issues they have raised.

Some held placards that read: ‘Teaching has become a calling to poverty’ and ‘The budget cuts must end’.
Their demands include the fast-tracking of the filling of teacher vacancies, Grade R teachers to be permanently employed, and improved security at schools.

Teachers affiliated to SADTU in KZN are gearing up to kick off their march to the Durban City Hall today to voice out their frustration to the Department of Education.
