WATCH: Monday mayhem in KZN as protesters take to the streets again
Updated | By Newswatch
Newswatch understands that a number of roads have been blocked on Monday.
At this stage, authorities have warned of protest action near Northcoast Road.
The N3 has been closed in both directions between Harrismith and Cedara and there're major disturbances on sides of the N2 in the vicinity of the uMvoti Toll Plaza.
With disruptive protests intensifying this morning, some shops in the province have decided not to trade today.
The Pavilion shopping centre says all its shops have closed their doors.
Since Friday, demonstrations against the jailing of former president, Jacob Zuma, have spiralled out of control and spread to Gauteng.
People went on the rampage in Mooi River, at the weekend, and torched more than two dozen trucks.
Shops have been looted and roads barricade in various parts of the province.
Police in KZN and Gauteng have arrested 62 people, in connection with the unrest.
