WATCH: Man scares off gang with a knife in Klerksdorp
North West police are looking for a man who survived an
attempted hijack and robbery in Klerksdorp earlier this week.
In a video, which has since gone viral on social media, five men can be seen attempting to rob the victim or hijack his white SUV in the Klerksdorp CBD.
The man, armed with what appeared to be a knife, fought back until the suspects gave up.
Police spokesperson Adel Myburgh says there is no case docket as the victim refused to lay charges.
"In a similar incident that occurred in May, the complainant also refused to open a case even though the suspects, who allegedly robbed him, were identified."
