Updated | By Kaya FM
Finance Minister Enoch Godongwana will have a tough task balancing the country's books on Wednesday when he delivers the budget speech.

Moolman says the country's recovery from the economic impact of the Covid-19 pandemic remains a challenge.

Moolman feels there'll be some positives on the revenue side of things.
"Mainly because commodity prices have been quite strong, but there has also been a decent economic recovery.
"So because there's this revenue overrun it means there is a little bit of breathing space for government so that it can, for example, increase excise duties only in line with inflation rather than to increase it more and it can allow you that little bit of relief by adjusting the tax brackets by inflation otherwise your effective tax burden really increase."
