South Africans may be in for stricter lockdown regulations when President Cyril Ramaphosa addresses the nation on Sunday evening amid mounting concerns over the surge in Covid-19 infections.
The rise in cases has prompted calls for tighter regulations, with some reports suggesting the country could move up to Level 4 of the lockdown.

This could include a complete ban on gatherings as well as a ban on the sale of alcohol.
Gauteng is currently the country’s Covid epicentre, with warnings that the surge could soon spread to KwaZulu-Natal.
