A case of mistaken identity turned what was supposed to be a casual brown house snake rescue, into an intense chase after a 2.2 metre long Black Mamba in a Clairwood home.
Snake Wrangler, Warren Dick received a call on Monday night from a woman who explained that they had a huge brown snake on their burglar guards of their front door.
“I was expecting to find a brown house snake, instead, I came face to face with a rather large Black Mamba,” Dick said.
Approaching the highly venomous snake with caution, Dick called on his good friend and fellow wrangler, Nick Evans for help.
The pair managed to successfully rescue the snake and safely release it on Tuesday.
