Road Accident Fund officials in Durban have received a memorandum of demands from members of the KZN Private Ambulance Association.
They’ve been moving through the CBD in protest over outstanding payments for emergency services provided.
The procession gathered this morning at the King Dinuzulu Park before heading down Dr Pixley Ka Seme Street to the offices of the Road Accident Fund.
Here, they handed over their memorandum which contains numerous grievances, including the non-payment of close to R10 million which they say is for work done during February and March this year.

As part of their protest, the group says its paramedics won't be attending to patients without medical insurance until midnight tonight.
It's given authorities until next week Saturday to pay over what is owed.

According to these private ambulance service providers an amount of R5 million in payment is still outstanding. Something that could hinder their ability to continue providing an essential service. pic.twitter.com/2Txqjhvfmi
