WATCH: Highlights from Public Protector interviews
Updated | By ECR Newswatch
It won't be long until South Africans know who will serve the public at the helm of the Public Protector's Office.
14 hopefuls appeared before a parliamentary Ad Hoc Committee, in a marathon interview session until the early hours of this morning.
The committee will then submit final recommendations to the president at the end of this month.
Questions asked by members of the panel ranged from those pertaining to sexual assault charges, internal disciplinary hearings, and political affiliations. Watch some of the highlights from the sitting below.
Below, Advocate Nonkosi Cetwyayo is questioned about her membership in the ANC.
Interviews got off to a shaky start when the EFF attempted to get the shortlisting process reopened so chairperson, Dali Mpofu would be included.
On a lighter note, Advocate Chris Madibeng Mokoditwa speaks about his 'fitness' to hold office.
